AIER’s Bastiat Society of Charleston invites you to join us on Tuesday, June 7th at 6:00pm EDT for an in-person event with Antony Davies, Milton Friedman Distinguished Fellow at the Foundation for Economic Education, and associate professor of economics at Duquesne University.
It is already impossible for the government to make good on its financial commitments, and it appears that multi-trillion dollar deficits have become the new normal. What began a century ago with the gradual abandonment of constitutional constraints has led, step by inevitable step, to politicians embracing the smoke-and-mirrors of modern monetary theory, wielding power the Constitution does not grant them, and promising voters anything at all in exchange for reelection.
This event is free and open to the public, but please consider making a $15 donation to sustain the chapter.
